Located at the historic Joslyn Castle

Situated a block north of Dodge Street in midtown, the Joslyn Castle is an Omaha landmark. In 1903, George and Sarah Joslyn commissioned architect John McDonald to design this Scottish baronial castle on what was then Omaha’s western outskirts. After the deaths of George and Sarah, the castle for four decades served as the home office of Omaha Public Schools. After 20 years of ownership by the State of Nebraska, the Joslyn Castle Trust in 2010 purchased the castle and grounds from the state. Today it is on the National Register of Historic Places and serves as a venue for public meetings, receptions and special events. Legacy Preservation moved its home offices into the property’s carriage house in 2010, occupying the building’s ground floor.
